Art Dawley is a 49 year old former corporate pilot who arrived from Los Angeles to Costa Rica in the fall of 2004 to operate his own aviation charter company, Paradise Air, based at Pavas Airport in San Jose. Art is an experienced corporate pilot who flew business jets for both the Petersen Publishing Company and Steven Spielberg’s Dreamworks Movie Studios prior to arriving in Costa Rica.

In addition to Paradise Air he also owns and operates Helicorp, Central America’s only FAA-approved maintenance facility for small aircraft that provides full time maintenance services to airplanes operating throughout the region including those of CAVU’s.

With a unique perspective of aviation in Central America and his company’s ability to observe and report changes in the environment from the air it is with great enthusiasm Art has gotten involved in CAVU’s activities.
